To design parts accurately to build needed form factors, we will learn to use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create drawings and models (see our Build page for their use cases).
Onshape is a simple, browser-based CAD software that emulates more established tools, like SolidWorks, but does NOT need an app installation.
Though many tools offer great design capabilities, Onshape is easier to use for quick, team projects! With its multi-user collaboration and cloud-based system, Onshape is analogous to Google Docs as SolidWorks is to offline Microsoft Word.
