Registration starts August 22nd š±
If you are interested in participating in MedTech Hack, keep in mind the following...
No matter your major or year, any university student is welcome to apply
MUST be able to check our Discord consistently and meet certain deadlines, like letting us know what prototyping materials you need on time
Should be able to participate in online (see Prototype Basics) and in-person training. Most in-person trainings will require completion of the relevant online portion (ex: Software quiz must be completed before attending Software in-person training). More in-person training details TBA.
You do not need a team roster right now. After Fall Training, you will get to form teams or join random teams based on your build interest and skill set
After you complete Fall Training, keep in mind the following...
MUST form a student team of 4-5 members who have also completed Fall Training AND can contribute to the project before and during Build Weekend
Should decide on a concentration with your team will compete in (See our Home page for available concentrations)
Need to submit a Bill of Materials (BOM), which is the list of materials your team would like for Build Weekend (all materials will be purchased by MedTech Hack and will be provided for FREE for competitors). See the BOM Submission Guide on this page for more details.
Must attempt to prototype a UNIQUE solution not seen in the problem space your team is addressing (make sure to search online to understand the problem space and avoid prototyping devices that already exist) during Build Weekend
You will be given only 5 minutes to pitch your solution to a panel of judges (paired based on your selected track) and 5 minutes for Q/A! Below is a video from the Dominic Colenso YouTube channel to help you draft your pitch and any accompanying slide deck:
